The International Highland Gathering

UK Sires were proud to be sponsors of The International Highland Gathering in October that was organised and managed by the Highland Cattle Society. Hannah and Rob represented UK Sires and at last achieved an ambition when they attended the visit to the Cladich Fold, owned by John and Queenie Strickland and managed by Stuart Campbell, ably assisted by Emily. "We immediately found our feet, meeting many new contacts and putting faces to names of those friends from all around the world that we work with on a regular basis" explains Rob. 

The visit was followed up with two days spent at the Show and then the Sale at Oban Mart. It was an incredible opportunity for the pair to meet and get to know a lot of wonderful breeders from all around the world, including Australia, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, France, Canada and especially many from the States. Hugely valuable time was also spent chatting to and discussing opportunities for export trade with British breeders.
